The Woburn Friends of VNA Hospice Care held the 14th Annual "Step Out for Hospice" 5-mile Road Race, 3-mile Health Walk and 1-mile Fun Run on Sunday, October 2, 2011 and raised a record-breaking $56,000 for hospice. The Walk/Run took place at the Woburn Irish American Club and continued around Horn Pond with over 400 walkers, 200 runners and dozens of kids joining in the Fun Run. After the race, participants enjoyed live music from local band Site 39 along with beer, popcorn, hot dogs and chowder. VNA Hospice Care would like to thank the Woburn Friends of VNAHC for all of their hard work in putting together another fun and successful fundraiser. We also extend our gratitude to all of the local businesses who sponsored the Walk/Run, individuals who made donations, our volunteers, and the Irish American Club for hosting the event.
